We are Christine and Keith Phillips. We’ve been married for 36 years. We have 5 children and 16 grandchildren.
The Paw Pad began in 2003, with just the two of us and our children. Christine started it as a hobby, because of her love for dogs ever since she was a little girl. Our youngest kids were heading to school and she wanted something to pour her heart into. Because of her childhood and growing up on a farm, she was surrounded by animals. She learned from her parents and grandparents how to care for animals. Christine researched different breeds before deciding to breed Goldendoodles. She started with the American type and eventually totally switched the program over to the English type due to them having a lower cancer rate and better health in general. We also added the Bernedoodles and Cavapoos by popular demand.
We’ve since grown to employ some of our grown children and grandchildren along with other dog loving people! We are proud to be a family owned and operated business. Located in Deer Creek, IL.
Our Staff
We take great pride in our staff. They are wonderful people, working hard to provide safe and clean environments for our dogs and puppies. Our dogs are cared for and monitored by our staff and our clients receive the best service thanks to everyone involved. We have a full-time groomer on staff to keep all of our dogs looking their best. We also have an in-house vet tech who takes care of vaccinations and de-worming; making sure our dogs and puppies have the best medical care. Dr. Walsh, from Hawthorne Park Animal Care Center in Bloomington, comes to our facility for well visits.
